This is an original oil painting, signed by Laurel. It is framed in a black with brown tones plein air style distressed frame with a gold lip. The outside dimensions of the frame are 24 1/2 x 20 1/2". 

I painted this piece at breathtakingly beautiful Mountainside Lavender for the Willamette Valley Lavender Festival & Plein Air Art Show. As I painted, little girls celebrated a birthday by running around a misting pole in fairy dresses, and the owners of the farm were pressing lavender not far from my set-up. The energy of the girls (who helped me choose this composition when I showed them two sketches to choose from) and the rich heavenly scent of the lavender oil, boosted my resolve to catch the magic of this place on my canvas, and gave me energy to keep painting until the sun set.
