This is an original oil painting on canvas signed by Laurel. It is in a handcrafted dark brown wood frame with red undertones, and a burnished gold-metal hand-leafed liner. The outside dimensions of this frame measure 37" height x 31" width x 2" depth. 

I cut these lilacs from my garden and placed them against my studio's west window to catch the radiant afternoon sunlight. This meant I was limited to a short time each day to work on this painting, as the shadows quickly shifted.
