One foggy day on the Northwest coast (at Nehelem Bay) I found this view right off of Highway 101. I drove out of fog and was thrilled to find this clear view. Before I felt finished painting, the fog settled in and I couldn't see the mountain. It might have been fun to develop the painting further, but I also like the simplicity of the first brush strokes, which is what you see here. While I worked, some locals stopped and told me that the tallest peak in the painting is called "Onion Dome". How cool.
